Meet Gary Senise
Gary Sinise is an acclaimed actor, director, producer, humanitarian, and longtime advocate for America’s service members, veterans, and their families. His career and life’s work reflect the very values The Integrity Path seeks to instill in young people—integrity, service, sacrifice, patriotism, and citizenship.
Widely recognized for his portrayal of Lieutenant Dan Taylor in the Academy Award–winning film Forrest Gump (1994), Sinise brought depth and humanity to a character whose journey powerfully illustrated the cost of war and the resilience of the human spirit. The role became a defining moment in his career and helped spark his lifelong commitment to supporting veterans and wounded service members.
Beyond his work in film and television, Gary Sinise is the founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors and supports active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones through programs focused on housing, mental wellness, education, and gratitude initiatives. His unwavering dedication to those who serve has earned him widespread respect both within and beyond the military community.
Sinise has collaborated with many distinguished figures in film, including his Forrest Gump co-star Tom Hanks. Hanks also worked on A League of Their Own, a film in which Suzanne Littrell—board member of The Integrity Path and a retired professional stuntwoman—contributed through her work in the motion picture industry. These professional intersections reflect a shared legacy of storytelling that highlights perseverance, teamwork, and character.
As an Associate Member of The Integrity Path, Gary Sinise brings a lifetime of experience, credibility, and heartfelt commitment to service. His example reinforces the importance of living with purpose and using one’s platform to uplift others—principles that are central to The Integrity Path’s mission of guiding and inspiring the next generation.
